our story
Our company was born out of relationships. Owner Laura grew up in her mother’s flower shop, watching and learning how simple, intentional interactions with customers would compel them to return time after time for high quality florals that added beauty to their lives.
When Laura would visit greenhouses in Lancaster County with her mom, she again saw how those genuine connections, grown over time, could turn into business relationships.
Years later, with two small daughters of her own, Laura began designing planters out of her own garage for friends and family, and Perfect Pots was born.
Perfect Pots opened its second location in the middle of the well-known Kitchen Kettle Village in April 2017. Just a few miles away from our Greenhouse, our cottage, gazebo and potting shed In The Village hold all the garden decor, gifts and treasures for locals and tourists alike.
Laura’s business relationships bloomed all over the Lancaster gardening and floral community. So when Nelson and Rose Rohrer, the previous owners of the fresh flower stand at historic Lancaster Central Market, were ready to retire they reached out to Laura about taking over the stand. She jumped on the opportunity to move right into the heart of the city.
Hard to imagine now, but our dried floral boutique on King St started out as our processing center for market flowers. We quickly outgrew this little shop and were looking for a new home for our fresh florals when the shop on Queen St became available.
We knew it would be the perfect home for us, since the location had been a flower shop for decades. With a large processing studio in back and an impressive store in front, our shop on Queen St is now the center of our activity - where we prepare flowers for our market stand, create amazing beauty for weddings and events, arrange bouquets for delivery, and share our love of all things floral, garden and houseplants with our customers in store.
We are so excited to welcome you into all 5 Perfect Pots and Central Market Flowers locations.
